창세기 8:9-12 | Genesis 8:9-12

9온 지면에 물이 있으므로 비둘기가 접족할 곳을 찾지 못하고 방주로 돌아와 그에게로 오는지라 그가 손을 내밀어 방주 속 자기에게로 받아 들이고 10또 칠일을 기다려 다시 비둘기를 방주에서 내어놓으매 11저녁때에 비둘기가 그에게로 돌아왔는데 그 입에 감람 새 잎사귀가 있는지라 이에 노아가 땅에 물이 감한줄 알았으며 12또 칠일을 기다려 비둘기를 내어 놓으매 다시는 그에게로 돌아 오지 아니하였더라

9But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. 10He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark. 11When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth. 12He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him.
